Why Be Baptized?

John the Baptist called Jews to "repent and be baptized." In the New Testament, baptism was the initial outward, public act of someone who had put their faith in Jesus Christ. Why were people baptized? What did it signify? Why should followers of Jesus today be baptized? These questions will be addressed in this message as we continue in our study of John's gospel.
