When we think about Jesus Christ, we automatically think about him as a man - from his birth, through his life, miracles and teachings, to his death and resurrection. John takes us back before time to consider the glory of the preincarnate, eternal Son of God who was in relationship with the Father and Holy Spirit, and through whom all things were made that have been made. He presents Christ as the great Cosmic Creator, which should cause us to worship Him even more!
