John now begins to present the testimonies of others concerning the identify of Jesus Christ, and the first witness he calls to the stand is John the Baptist, whose ministry of baptizing Jews had all Israel in a state of confusion. Why was he baptizing, and what was he saying about Jesus? This message addresses both questions, but with an emphasis on John's testimony that Jesus is "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
