Details:
Wednesdays during the school year. We meet in Joy Hall at 6:30 p.m. and carpool to Delmar Gardens. We return around 8:00 p.m.
This ministry is open to any member of the church. It is specifically designed to encourage parents of elementary age children to learn to serve through visiting and getting to know seniors at Delmar Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility directly west of us.
This ministry began in September of 2008. Currently we play board games, give musical recitals and make crafts together. We meet with the same group of residents each Wednesday evening in order to develop long-term relationships. We hope to expand our ministry to include drama, singing and outings to our church.
