Deaconess
The deaconess committee visits and comforts the sick and promotes a spirit of goodwill, practical helpfulness, encouragement and sympathy to the church family. Some specific out-workings include preparing communion, assisting at baptisms, new mother support, staff support, food drives, home/hospital visits, flowers and gifts, blood drives, baby and wedding showers, meals, and Christmas baskets for shut-ins.
