"The Road" to the Cross

Friday, April 02, 2010, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

“The Road:” To the Cross is a powerfully interactive walk-through exhibit of the journey Christ took on his way to the Cross. The experience begins with the “Denial” of Peter on the night of Jesus’ arrest, likening it to the times and ways in which we deny knowing Christ with our words or actions. From there, the journey continues through Christ’s condemnation, scourging and death…for YOU. As your reflection on the Passion continues, the road leads to the empty tomb and on to the personal journey that each of us finds ourselves on and the decision we must all make – to take up your cross and follow Christ.

We, as a church, are expectantly praying that God will use this time to tenderize hearts to the pain Christ suffered, regenerate in souls the sense of the Father’s abounding love, encourage believers to live their lives as those who have been redeemed and ultimately, to internalize Christ’s victory over the sin and death that we celebrate on Resurrection Sunday. This event, open to the community, will run all-day (10a.m. - 10p.m.). Come at your leisure. Please invite someone you know to experience “The Road” on Good Friday, April 2nd.
